Sunflower International School adapts the Cambridge Curriculum for the main subjects—English, Phonics, numbers, Social Science and science—to fit our international context, and follow the Tanzanian National Curriculum for the other subjects.

Our curriculum satisfies the minimum learning competencies as prescribed by the Tanzanian Ministry of Education. These are the minimum levels of required instructional goals/objectives, curriculum areas (subject areas), for the regular preschool.

As a school, we are committed to maximizing learner-centered, activity centered, experienced-based approaches. For example, play/games in the early childhood programs, preschool projects and educational trips (for all classes); research in all its forms (observation, library research, interviews, interaction with resources); independent study balanced with cooperative learning, e.g. Group work.
